Quality Control for Copper Machined Parts

We inspect copper machined parts throughout production to verify critical dimensions, tolerances, material grade, and surface quality. Calibrated measuring equipment is used to check dimensional and geometric features, while material certificates confirm the specified copper grade and composition. Each part is also visually inspected for burrs, scratches, oxidation, machining marks, and other surface defects. Inspection records and material certificates are available upon request.

Frequently Asked Questions

What copper grades can you CNC machine?

We commonly machine C101, C110, C145 tellurium copper, and C172 beryllium copper. Material selection depends on conductivity, strength, machinability, and application requirements.

Typical tolerances are ±0.01 mm, depending on the part size, geometry, copper grade, and feature requirements. Tighter tolerances can be reviewed based on your drawings.

Pure copper is soft and ductile, which can cause built-up edges, burrs, and poor chip control. Proper tooling, cutting parameters, and coolant help maintain dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

Yes. We manufacture one-off prototypes, low-volume batches, and repeat production orders using CNC milling, turning, and 5-axis machining.

Available options include as-machined, polishing, brushing, bead blasting, nickel plating, tin plating, silver plating, and passivation. Finish availability depends on the copper grade and part requirements.
